‘‘STOP IT MADONNA. I LOVE YA GIRL BUT STOP’’
Madonna has come under fire from fans for calling the coronavirus “the great equalizer” while naked in a bathtub. The 61-year-old decided to address fans and followers about the pandemic from her bathtub, naked and surrounded by candles.
Naked in a milky bathtub of floating rose petals, in a bizarre video which was blasted as “privileged” by many even her diehard fans, Madonna has declared coronavirus “the great equaliser”
The 61-year-old “Material Girl” preaches to her fans from her tub, surrounded by candles and wearing nothing but jewellery, to a background of ominous instrumental music, how the pandemic doesn’t care how rich and famous you are.
The alarmingly smooth-faced star says in the clip, posted to her Instagram, “That’s the thing about COVID-19. It doesn’t care about how rich you are, how famous you are, how funny you are.
“How smart you are, where you live, how old you are, what amazing stories you can tell, It’s the great equalizer and what’s terrible about it is what’s great about it. What’s terrible about it is that it’s made us all equal in many ways, and what’s wonderful about is, is that it’s made us all equal in many ways,” she wrote.
She added with a snort, while seemingly attempting to look sultry at the same time, “Like I used to say at the end of ‘Human Nature’ every night, if the ship goes down, we’re all going down together.”
Madonna, who also posted a picture of herself with petals over her nipples, captioned the post: “No discrimination – COVID-19! #quarantine #covid_19 #staysafe.”
Even the Like a Prayer singer’s most adoring fans took aim at the strange video, with one commentator stating: “Sorry my queen, love u so much, but we’re not equal. We can die from the same diseases, but the poor will suffer the most. Do not romanticize nothing of this tragedy (sic).”
Another devotee added: “You sure about that? Covid testing… the rich and famous seem to be getting tested without any issues… ahem.” While another wrote: “Stop it Madonna. I love ya girl but stop.”
POP DIVA CELEBRATES PHOTOGRAPHER STEVEN KLEIN’S BIRTHDAY
In the Pandemic days when social distancing is a norm, pop diva Madonna has stoked another controversy after attending celebrity photographer Steven Klein’s (55) birthday party days after claiming in a video that she had tested positive for coronavirus antiboides, which would indicate that she had been exposed to the virus.
The sexagenarian singer was pictured ignoring social distancing rules at the party, hugging and standing very close to Klein who is a longtime friend and neighbour. The party was held either at Madonna’s or Mr Klein’s home – both live in Bridgehampton, New York. Most guests at the party attended virtually via Zoom; Madonna was one of the handful of in-person attendees.
THE MATERIAL GIRL WANTS TO BREATHE IN COVID AIR
Meanwhile announcing her plans during the pandemic, Madonna said, she plans to “breathe in the COVID 19 air” after testing positive for antibodies. Omn May 7 she posted on Instagram a video that she called ‘Quarantine diaries No. 14’.
“I took a test the other day, and I found out that I have the antibodies,” Madonna said in the clip, in which she uses a typewriter. She declared that she wants to spend some time out of her house. “So tomorrow I’m just going to go for a long drive in the car, I’m going to roll down the window and I’m going to breathe in the COVID-19 air. Yup. I hope the sun is shining” she said in a video. She concluded by saying: “Here’s the good news: tomorrow’s another day and I’m going to wake up and I’m going to feel differently.”
Any things could be expected from this superstar Madonna. But she’s true to the extent that novel coronavirus choose victims irrespective of all consideration.
